The Easter Bunny Has been!

Hi everyone welcome to April.

I hope you survived the visit by the Easter Bunny and didn’t forget the real reason and promise of a new and better life that the chocolate eggs are meant to represent.
It’s so easy to get caught up in the hype, especially in my household as my 7 year old wasn’t going to let me forget about the chocolate lol!

If you have been watching our last couple of newsletters you would have noticed that we now sell wool! How cool is that?!
We also sell patterns, knitting and crochet needles and a whole host of other extras that you need when knitting.
Come into our shop to see our range or visit us online, they are available on our website now so it’s much easier for you to shop from the comfort of your own home. I love the convenience of the modern age but I do still enjoy perusing the local shops, that’s still fun.

CLASSES. . . Eve’s hand embroidery class is on Wednesday 18th April. 10am – 2pm
Only a total of 4 classes. Other dates: 2, 9 & 16th May.
$10 each class, $7.50 for the pack (see photo)

The Janome Club is on Saturday 21st April then 19th May.
10am – 2pm. $5.00 per class, plus kit if required.
Come and learn how to do machine quilting, stitch in the ditch and free motion quilting this month.

The Janome Machine Embroidery
10am – 2pm Saturday 5th May then 9th June.
$5 per class This months project is a tea towel; You will need one tea towel, design of your choice, 30 cm of fabric, batting [25cm square], 1 x button or large dome, threads backing etc… You will also need your plastic template that goes with your hoop to learn on screen editing, and I will also teach you how to use the scallop and wave ruler to make your hem. Dawn & Clare. Quilt Works Class Schedule As @ 17th April 2012 Come and enjoy the social atmosphere of our air conditioned classroom while you learn something new. You may register and pay any time, but need to remember that your place is not confirmed until your fee is paid. Full day classes are for 10am to 4pm. We give you morning and afternoon tea, and you bring your lunch or eat at one of our lovely cafes in town. Morning classes are from 10am to 12:30pm and afternoon classes are from 1pm to 4pm. If our classroom is not being used for a class, please feel welcome to come and stitch. Beginners Class – We will teach you the basics of how to make your very first quilt. You can choose to do a nice block sampler, a simple lap quilt or a child’s quilt. Classes will be held on Tuesdays at the same time as the Tuesday Chat or with the Wednesday Nighters. 8 Lessons with the Class Fee $85 plus materials. Take advantage of our special price for all your tools – cutting mat, ergonomic rotary cutter, two rulers normally $147 - beginners price $130 (Note: we have selected tools that we consider are the best value plus easiest to use) Tuesday Chat. 10am-3pm. $5 per day or $40 per term. Come sit, sew, and chat and have expert help on hand. During school terms, breaking for the holidays. Sit’ n Stitch - Wednesday & Thursday. 10am – 3pm. $5 per day or $40 per term. We invite you to come and use our light and air conditioned room to stitch and chat. Groups are welcome. Wednesday Workers. 7pm to 9pm. $5 per day or $40 per term.
